LIDA - Genetic Disorders in Dogs (online database)
This is a list of known genetic disorders in dogs on the LIDA website that is curated by Dr Paul McGreevy at the University of Sydney, but it does not necessarily list every disorder that occurs in a breed. LIDA collects, organizes, and disseminates information about the prevalence of inherited disorders in Australian dogs. It uses non-technical language and is designed to enable pet owners to understand the potential health problems in their dogs. It includes congenital and hereditary disorders found in pure-bred dogs as well as common conditions thought to have genetic origins because their frequency is higher in some breeds than others. The disorders listed are sourced from the Online Mendelian Inheritance of Animals database, where you can find more technical information. Do not assume that this list is comprehensive and complete but the information it does contain has been sourced.
NOTE: Groups are according to the Australian National Kennel Council.
