This study examined risk for 12 developmental orthopedic diseases using data for 24,373 cases over the period of 1986-1995 from 10 veterinary teaching hospitals in the US that have participated in the Veterinary Medical Database for the entire period of study.
Odds ratios are purebred dogs relative to mixed breed (PB:MB) and are presented only when statistically significant. Mixed-breed dogs will always have an odds ratio of one (because the computed value is MB:MB). The breeds are presented first alphabetically and then by risks using the odds ration.
